I am a researcher/programmer devoted to improving users' access to electronic information. This problem can be approached from either direction, starting with a user and improving methods for querying information, or starting with a collection of information and improving the ways in which it can be queried. Specific topics of interest include:
I currently lead development of the Dryad Data Repository for the National Evolutionary Synthesis Center at Duke University. Previously, I worked for the IU Digital Library Program. I worked on the development of the Variations Digital Music Library and built the foundation of the central digital library infrastructure. I'm a graduate of the Computer Science and Cognitive Science Departments at Indiana University.
